Over £50m has been invested in further education facilities in recent years. There are four institutions, Dudley College, Birmingham Metropolitan College (Stourbridge), Halesowen College and King Edward VI Sixth Form College, which provide a range of courses including A-level and flexible employer training and support.

Dudley College has helped to transform the town centre by creating a dedicated campus for students right at the heart of the town. This has been enhanced with the addition of the Dudley Advance Centre, a £7m building to provide training for manufacturing and engineering technology. Aston University and local employers including Thomas Dudley and the Hadley Group will develop the new centre’s curriculum programmes.

Aston, Birmingham, Birmingham City, Coventry and Wolverhampton universities are located a short distance from Dudley borough offering employers access to a wide variety of skilled graduates.
