On 14th October the Google Digital Garage on tour will arrive in Dudley to give local businesses the chance to attend a free masterclass and learn crucial skills for the digital age.
Experts from Google will run a seminar and one-to-one mentoring sessions that offer advice and tips to local business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs on making the Internet a growth engine for their business.
The tour is part of Google’s Digital Garage project – a commitment to provide digital skills training to 200,000 small businesses across the UK by the end of 2016. Government research shows that SMEs with a strong web presence grow more than twice as quickly as competitors, create more than twice as many jobs, and are 50% more likely to sell outside of their immediate region.
By encouraging and supporting a variety of businesses to use the Internet effectively, from entrepreneurs and one-man-band start-ups, to larger companies, these workshops aim to prove that, with the right training, any business can become a digital business.
Businesses and entrepreneurs in the area can sign up for the free consultations and workshops at Dudley College, The Broadway, Dudley DY1 4AS
